Visiting this website

This site is served by Cloudflare. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information to deliver the page and protect it against abuse. We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking.

Early-access signup

If you use the signup form, we store the details you enter (email address and, if provided, name, company, stack, number of languages and your message) together with the time of signup, the page you signed up on and, if the link you followed had one, its campaign tag (such as ?ref=django-news). We don't use cookies for this. We use them only to contact you about Ponyglot early access and to understand which setups to support first.

Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to hello@ponyglot.app; we then delete your details. Otherwise we delete them at the latest 24 months after signup if no early-access conversation has started.

Product updates (optional)

If you also tick “send me occasional product updates”, we record this with your signup and send you one email asking you to confirm (double opt-in). Only after you confirm do we send updates; without confirmation you won't receive any, and the confirmation link expires after 7 days. As proof of your consent, we store when we sent the confirmation email and when you confirmed.

Every update contains an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, our email provider keeps your address on an opt-out list so that no further updates reach you, and we remove your subscription from our list before the next update. We keep your email address for updates until you unsubscribe, even if your early-access details are deleted earlier. We don't track whether you open emails or click links. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time, with the link or by writing to hello@ponyglot.app.

Processors

Hosting, the signup database and email forwarding are provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Signup data is stored in Cloudflare's European region. Cloudflare may process data in the USA; it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply.

The confirmation email and product updates are sent by Lettermint B.V., Willemsvaart 16 B, 8019 AB Zwolle, the Netherlands. Lettermint receives your email address and the content of the email, and keeps the opt-out list. It processes data only on its own infrastructure in the EU, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
