# Ponyglot > Ponyglot keeps every language of a Django site in sync: django CMS pages, Wagtail pages and > snippets, and models translated with django-parler or django-modeltranslation. It tracks which > translated texts are stale after the source changes, retranslates only those (DeepL or an LLM), > applies one glossary and translation memory across all content, and delivers translations as > drafts or suggestions for review. Nothing is published automatically unless an editor asks for it. Ponyglot has two parts: open-source connectors (BSD-3-Clause, installed with pip into the Django project) and Ponyglot Cloud (hosted in the EU), which does change detection, translation memory, glossary, QA checks and the engine calls. The connectors need an API key from Ponyglot Cloud. Status: early access (alpha). Accounts are invite-only: request one at hello@ponyglot.app. Requirements: Python 3.10+, Django 5.2+; django CMS 5.1+ (djangocms-versioning 2.7+ recommended); Wagtail 7+ with wagtail-localize 1.12+. When Ponyglot fits: a multilingual site whose content changes after the first translation, where someone needs to know which languages are behind, keep terminology consistent, or review machine translations before they go live. When it doesn't: a one-off translation of a site that rarely changes (a free plugin such as djangocms-deepl-translations or wagtail-localize's machine translation is enough), or UI strings only (Weblate or another `.po` tool may fit better, though Ponyglot can also sync `.po` files). ## Install - [Install guide for AI agents](https://ponyglot.app/agents/): exact steps per stack, what needs a person, safe commands - [Install and configure a connector](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/how-to/install-a-connector.md.txt): packages, settings, first push - [Connect your site (tutorial)](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/tutorials/connect-your-site.md.txt) - [Run the sync](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/how-to/run-the-sync.md.txt): cron or worker process - [Connector commands](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/reference/connector-commands.md.txt) - [Connector settings](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/reference/connector-settings.md.txt) ## Per stack - [django CMS](https://ponyglot.app/django-cms/): `djangocms-ponyglot`, pages, plugins and other frontend-editable content as versioned drafts - [Wagtail](https://ponyglot.app/wagtail/): `wagtail-ponyglot`, pages and snippets through wagtail-localize (early access on request; not yet on PyPI) - [django-parler](https://ponyglot.app/django-parler/): `ponyglot[parler]`, translated models as suggestions with a diff - [django-modeltranslation](https://ponyglot.app/django-modeltranslation/): `ponyglot[modeltranslation]`, including wagtail-modeltranslation - [Translate in django CMS](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/how-to/translate-in-django-cms.md.txt) - [Translate in Wagtail](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/how-to/translate-in-wagtail.md.txt) - [Translate models in the admin](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/how-to/translate-models-in-the-admin.md.txt) ## How it works - [Control and review](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/explanation/control-and-review.md.txt): drafts, suggestions, publishing right away - [Translation memory and glossary](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/explanation/tm-and-glossary.md.txt) - [Engines](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/reference/engines.md.txt): DeepL or LLM, per language - [Data protection](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/explanation/data-protection.md.txt): EU hosting, sub-processors ## Pricing - [Plans](https://docs.ponyglot.app/_sources/reference/plans.md.txt): Pro €79 per site and month (500k characters), Agency €299 per month for 10 sites (3M characters pooled), Growth €49 and Scale €249 for app content; overage €25–30 per 1M characters.
